A little about us.

Welcome to Park Therapy and Consulting... we’re so glad you’re here!

Founded in 2019, Park Therapy and Consulting believes that connection to ourselves and others is crucial in life. When our most important attachments are suffering, life can feel lonely and dark. At Park Therapy and Consulting, clinical therapist Allison Park, utilizes her advanced training in emotionally focused therapy as well as her education in marriage and family therapy to help people heal and find the light and meaning in their life again.

Park Therapy and Consulting, and Allison Park operate from a trauma informed and inclusive framework. Our practice is proudly a 2SLGBQTIA+ ally, anti-racist, and pro equality. We work hard to provide a safe space for therapeutic processing by acknowledging the deep impacts of colonialism, systematic discrimination and violence towards women, vulnerable populations and the BIPOC community.

Allison Park, Registered Marriage and Family Therapist

Focusing most of her clinical expertise on couple work, Allison has obtained advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Emotionally Focused Therapy is heavily based on attachment theory, and helps individuals in relationships create a deeper understanding of one another and a better connection within their relationship. This is done by utilizing evidenced based interventions.

Allison’s genuine intrigue and passion for understanding the complexities of how we think, behave and connect with one another, keeps her focused and dedicated towards her role as a therapist. She firmly believes that when we can better understand ourselves, change is much more obtainable and long lasting. Allison provides a supportive, empathetic, straightforward, down to earth and transparent environment where you can develop awareness and understanding around yourself and your relationships. Helping individuals, couples and families apply the awareness they have gained into positive changes in their lives is something she does not tire of – she loves being a therapist!
